We love all things Disney at our house.  Consequently, in honor of the big 3D release of Beauty and the Beast, I have decided to list my most favorite Disney/Pixar movies of all time:

5. Snow White – It is the original princess movie, and it is my Stinkerbell’s absolute favorite.

4. The Little Mermaid – You cannot help but love all of the songs and the characters in this film.

3. Beauty and the Beast – This film has such a beautiful story, and the ballroom scene is simply amazing.

2. Up – Not many movies can touch you so deeply and make you laugh quite as much as this one.

1. The Lion King –  A classic in every sense of the word.

So, what are your favorite Disney films?

Is there anything better than vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup on top?  I mean … seriously?  I am in full-blown organizing and packing mode in preparation for the big Disney trip.  That, compounded by the fact that it is hotter than Hades here, led me to seek out the most refreshing and delicious snack available.  As I was enjoying my treat, I thought to myself, “This is so good it would make you smack your momma!”

Our Disney vacation is quickly approaching, and excited does not adequately describe my emotions.  After all, Disney World is the most magical place on earth.  So, I have Disney Fever!  One of the symptoms of Disney Fever is that you remember highlights from previous trips.  In particular, these memories stand out:

1) My first trip was when I was 9 years old.  My grandfather took the entire family, and I vividly remember riding “It’s a Small World” with him.

2) The first time I took my daughter was when she was 5 years old.  My favorite recollection is when she got to meet Snow White, her most beloved princess.

As our departure date draws near, I am looking forward to making even more Disney memories.

I can always count on at least two or three people to post something about “Hump Day” on Facebook every time Wednesday rolls around.  This always makes me think that we spend a great deal of time wishing our lives away!  I have been especially prone to this behavior during the current school year.  Third grade has been a major transition year for Grayson, and she has been given a ridiculous amount of school work.  In addition, one of the classes that I teach has been a constant struggle.  Consequently, we have several count-downs going right now: 1) upcoming dance competition, 2) Grayson’s birthday, 3) the school calendar winding down, and most importantly … 4) our Disney World vacation next month!
