This weekend marked the annual dance competition that my daughter’s studio participates in each year. All of the girls did great, but I was especially proud of my Stinkerbell. She won a platinum award for her lyrical solo, and won first place overall for her division!
Getting Wacky

If you haven’t had the privilege of playing Whac-a-Mole, you are definitely missing out! Grayson has had this game for many years, and it has always been a favorite. But, we haven’t played it in a while. So you can imagine my surprise when she pulled it out the other night and asked me to join her. I am so glad that she did because we had the best time, laughing hysterically throughout each game. We bounced along to the peppy theme music, and we giggled at all of the silly sounds the moles make before you smack them on the head with your mallet. This simple little game is an absolute blast, and I highly recommend it for kids and parents of all ages.
Sweet Girl

So, my daughter is at her dad’s for the usual every-other-weekend visit. But, unbeknownst to me, she left this little note:
And, since it’s Saturday, I followed the directions on the back of the note. The instructions sent me to the voice memos on her iPod, where she had recorded a short message telling me that she loved me and missed me. How precious is that? It completely made my day!
Party Time

My daughter’s 9th birthday party is scheduled for this afternoon. And as the event quickly approaches, I find myself worried about every detail … Will the location be OK? How many guests will actually show up? Do I have enough plates, cups, napkins, and refreshments for everyone? But, when it’s all said and done, the main goal is for Grayson and her guests to have a good time.
